Mini Bio
Maria is a dance artist, creator, and teacher. A graduate of the Academia de Dança Contemporânea de Setúbal and Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Law), she has danced with companies such as CeDeCe, Vortice Dance Company, and North Dance Company, performing internationally across Europe and the U.S. Her teaching blends modern dance, release elements, somatic approaches, and inclusive practices, developed through years of working with diverse groups. Maria has created and co-created several works, including the solo LIBERTAÇÃO-LIBERATION (2025), and remains deeply committed to the transformative power of art, the importance of authenticity and integrity.
